About
This four month guided online programme is designed for individuals and organisations developing an Ofsted regulated supported accommodation service for looked after children and care leavers aged 16 to 17. Through structured weekly learning, practical activities, downloadable resources and knowledge checks, you will work through the key stages involved in developing your service and preparing for registration. The programme covers areas including your service model and target cohort, the regulatory framework and Quality Standards, provider responsibilities, governance, accommodation, workforce planning, safeguarding, support planning, referrals and admissions, service documentation and preparation for the Ofsted registration process. You will complete the learning online at your own pace within the programme schedule and apply each stage directly to your proposed service. Your programme also includes four 90 minute mentoring sessions with Cherie Johnson. These sessions take place at key points throughout the four months and are used to review your progress, discuss your individual service and identify your next actions. By the end of the programme, you will have developed a clearer understanding of the requirements for establishing your service and a structured action plan to support your journey towards registration.
